Man faces more charges stemming from $300K in allegedly fraudulent purchases

A 35-year-old California man was charged with additional offenses Friday stemming from more than $300,000 in purchases in Waikiki and the Ala Moana area using counterfeit credit cards in February, police said.

Jonathan Tucker was charged with 12 counts of credit card fraud, eight counts of first-degree theft, and one count of second-degree theft. He remained at Oahu Community Correctional Center on Monday, unable to post $1,000,000 bail.

Police said Tucker made the purchases at high-end retailers over several days around Feb. 1. He was arrested Feb. 2 when he returned to Ala Moana Center and employees recognized him.

Tucker was initially charged in February and more charges were added Friday, bringing the total offenses against him to 21.

    1 month sentence, right!

No, deferred acceptance of plea. Then in three months he does it again, then is not allowed to pass Go and to go directly to jail. However the million dollar bail is an issue. He will get jail time if he is convicted.

He might pay his bail with one of his phony credit cards. Hard to believe retailers did not catch the fraud sooner. His mistake was staying out here too long. Eventually, the obvious fraud became apparent.

We need to go back to the laws when the West was won. Death penalty instead of feeding them in prison.

Stupid thief! Cardinal rule, never return to the scene of the crime. Smart employee recognized the thief.

Maximum charges and arrange to have him housed in a prison in California. Probably came to Hawaii to avoid landing in a tough California prison system if he got caught.

Yet another Californian invader caught plying his trade in our state. Go figure. Make an example out of this lowlife.
