Kahului man identified as victim in Maui murder case
Maui police today identified the murder victim whose body was found in the brush during the weekend in Kahului as Michael Colby, 39, of Kahului.
Police said a beach goer found Colby’s body near Kaa Point off Amala Place at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Colby’s body appeared to have injuries, police said.
A blue pickup was found in proximity of Colby’s body. Police impounded the truck as part of a second-degree murder investigation.
The cause of death has not been released.
