Man seriously injured by car while crossing highway

A 47-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while crossing Farrington Highway near Laaloa Street.

The incident was reported at 8:44 p.m.

The man was transported by paramedics to a trauma center.

    I see this a lot in Honolulu. Too many are running across streets and roads hoping to make it across before traffic hits. Many are unstable and some impacted by alcohol or drugs. Very sad and very dangerous.

      Too many have their heads stuck in their cell phones and don’t even look up at the traffic. I thought they were going to prohibit use of electronic devices while crossing roadways. No excuse for the drivers who are in a hurry!
