Man killed by bus apparently while sneezing is identified
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office today identified a man who may have been sneezing when he was hit and killed by a city bus on St. Patrick’s Day in Chinatown as Robert Condry.
Condry, 56, of the Waikiki/Diamond Head area, died of head injuries from blunt force trauma, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Condry died on March 17 after the bus hit him on Hotel Street in front of Chinatown Gateway Plaza. The incident happened about 7:30 p.m.
Police said witnesses saw Condry bent over on the sidewalk as he sneezed when he was hit by the bus. He was close to the curb, and it was unknown if he fell into the street or got too close as the bus approached a stop, police said.

God bless him.
was he a homeless person?
What difference does it make? Homeless or not, this was and unfortunate incident.
Because “allie” believes The Homeless are dispensable and disposable. It’s the “Mandan” way…
“Condry, 56, of the Waikiki/Diamond Head area”..
He’s homeless now.
That is only if you are a non-believer.
Very tragic accident for which there is no rational explanation. Have you ever noticed that life is often dictated by luck and timing.
“Everything” is “Synchronicity”…
That’s one hell of a sneeze.
I heard he was 2 blocks when he sneezed. What the heck was in his nose?? My god!! 🙂
Sometimes a couple of seconds either way can mean the difference between life and death. RIP.
