Dishes that amuse

From Amuse Wine Bar at Honolulu Design Center:

>> The Very Decadent Chocolate Cake is a petite dessert ideal for any chocoholic. It features a moist, dense, chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache, served with brown butter popcorn ice cream, Nutella powder, fleur de sel caramel and “chocolate salt.” The perfect sweet-and-salty combo, this dessert’s medley of textures is amazing. The ice cream contains just enough popcorn flavor and the Nutella powder offsets it with subtle sweetness. My favorite part of the entire ensemble is the chocolate salt — it balances the cake’s richness and its grittiness complements the ice cream’s silkiness perfectly.

>> Mini Grilled Cheese has to be one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve tasted yet. The little sandwiches come in threes, oozing with Havarti. White truffle essence makes Amuse’s rendition of the children’s classic stand out. Note: This sandwich is also available during happy hour for a slightly discounted price.
