Post office box break-ins reported on Hawaii island

Hawaii island police are investigating two series of post office box break-ins at the Pahoa Post Office.

Police said sometime Tuesday to Wednesday, the locks were pried open on three post office boxes.

Two post office boxes were also pried open sometime Wednesday to Thursday.

Police said the break-ins Wednesday to Thursday caused $100 in damages, and those Tuesday to Wednesday were still being investigated.

Police ask anyone with any information about these incidents to call officer Roberto Segobia at 965-2716 or the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.
