  5. kiragirl says:

How sad that he killed his dog for whatever reason. May our laws make him realize the stupidity of his actions.

If someone in the neighborhood continues to walk their dog(s) around the neighborhood and allows their dog(s) to poop on my property more than once, am I allowed to shoot the dog and possibly end up beating up the neighbor? If a real gun is not wise, can I use a pellet gun?

There is also a couple of women a few houses away that walk their dogs across the residential narrow street, lets their dogs pee on that person’s property, then walks the dogs back to their property. It’s a good thing those ladies don’t bring their dogs near my yard. Now, why do people do that? Why can’t they let their dogs pee on their own property?

Everyone likes dogs and so do I but I am getting tired of seeing this kind of rude behavior by these buffoons.

I ask these questions because many of you commenters are getting down on this 18 year old without knowing why he did it. People should be aware that they may be doing something rude and nasty that really annoys someone. That someone may have held back his anger for a long time but, you should know, holding things back a long time just leads to a bigger explosion.

Have you tried TALKING to these people? A lot of problems can be avoided by simply striking up a conversation about what’s going on. Personally, I agree with you. I keep my lawn neat and clean. I sit on my lawn with my kids and play with them there. Any neighbor who lets their dog poop on my lawn has zero consideration for this and cares more for their dog and their lawn then that of their neighbors. Funny thing, the many people who own dogs have zero urine stains on their own lawns and allow their dogs to mess up and stain other people’s. That being said, I cannot condone violence to dogs as the problem is not the dog, but the owner.

Shoot the neighbor not the dog.

        • DeltaDag says:

If it were only that easy to talk to one’s neighbors. In some neighborhoods on Oahu, asking your neighbor to have their pet leave its waste in its own yard is asking to have your tires slashed late at night or your house burned down (hopefully when you’re out).

Dogs are often a gross nuisance disturbing other peoples life with their uncouth barking and the owners irresponsible, letting them poop anywhere and not pick it up. Flies in the yard because of dogs. Sleep disturbed because of dogs. People bitten by dogs. Unleashed dogs ? I think the owners invite the shooting.

DON’T BLAME THE DOG–BLAME THE NEIGHBOR… I once lived in a CONDO on Seaview and the neighbor residing on the opposite side of the street–DELIBERATLEY, EACH DAY–brought her dog to defecate and urinate under my balcony and bedroom window several times a day. On a very hot day, and little wind–it was awful! One day, totally fed up, I snuck on to the balcony and dumped a large glass of water on her head. Needless to say, I wasn’t very popular after that. Albeit, no one could actually prove it was me… (I nevvah say dat..)

    • DeltaDag says:

No, you cannot use a pellet gun (or loose an arrow or crossbow bolt for that matter). A stream of water from your garden hose is okay, but don’t even think about spraying or wetting the owner!

Killing an animal because of messing your yard or what ever reason besides protection from a dog attack is not acceptable. We have dogs and cats poops at one time or other in our driveway it’s disgusting but, that doesn’t warrant taking the animals lives. We should be wary of anyone who does not respect life – be it the life of an animal or humans.

    • sailfish1 says:

Did you protest against the Federal government for killing all the rats on Midway Atoll (in today’s news)?

      • kiragirl says:

There is a difference between someone’s pet and feral pests.

        • sailfish1 says:

Read his comment again – he says “We should be wary of anyone who does not respect life”. He doesn’t even realize that “life” includes bacteria and plants, not just “animal or humans”.

You need to learn to read with comprehension before commenting . Do you also realize that lots of “feral” animals, like cats, started out as pets?

        • kiragirl says:

Read this and comprehend it too – you’re too much into yourself!

        • cholo says:

          girls don’t like to lose

      • sailfish1 says:

kiragirl – Hahaha! what’s the matter? In addition to being a poor reader and stu*pid, you are a sore loser. Everything is in front of you in black and white – if you can’t understnd, it’s your failing.

        • kiragirl says:

As I said, you are too much. A legend in your own mind!

        • Allaha says:

I do not condone shooting dogs, but sometimes I wished I could and the only reason I don’t do it is the law not allowing it.

        • FARKWARD says:

Don’t blame the DOG BLAME THE OWNER! No it’s not legal to shoot anyone, but you can cast spells and induce bachi on them… I know one Japanee lady on Kapahulu who can do for you…

  8. wn says:

My condolences to owner. I do hope that law enforcement is encouraging to apply the proper police report and move forward. On the backend, I don’t have confidence in our judicial system to prosecute what I believe to be a felony offense (?) Regardless, arrest, charged, arraigned and convicted and what? Let’s see how this plays out.

  9. kaleboy says:

    What a scumbag.

  10. lespark says:

Say what you will but if this 18 year old is found guilty he has to pay a fine, community service and maybe more. The article does not say why he killed the dog. If he did it for no reason he has a problem.

  11. Jfc says:

My sincere sympathy to the family that lost their beloved pet!

  12. kkelli4u says:

Sad for the dog/god place him on earth for a reason; no to be abuse or shot/lock um up, this guy will be an abuser………..to any human/or animals life.

  13. LKK56 says:

Not enough to information in article. Was this a vicious dog? What type of dog? I have seen dog owners walking their dogs and not having any control of their dog, and it is concerning when the dog is a bit bull.
