Background extras and old, junk cars and mopeds are being sought for a 20th Century Fox movie scheduled to shoot this summer in Hawaii that stars Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn.

An open casting call will be held Sunday.

As many as 2,000 extras are needed for the adventure comedy, which only has a working title, “Untitled Mother-Daughter Adventure,” said Katie Doyle, Hawaii casting director for the film.

According to IMDB.com, Schumer is also sharing writing credits on the film, which will be directed by Jonathan Levine (“Warm Bodies,” “50/50”). Levine was a producer on “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates,” a comedy starring Zac Efron and Adam DeVine that shot entirely in Hawaii last summer.

Schumer (“Trainwreck,” “Inside Amy Schumer”) is a hot Hollywood property these days, and Hawn, who won an Oscar for “Cactus Flower,” has lit up screens big and small since the late 1960s.

In “Untitled Mother-Daughter Adventure,” Hawaii will double for an unspecified location and many of the extras will need to pass for South American locals, Doyle said. Rural villagers, fit and athletic pool guests and “high end” tourists also will be needed. No acting experience is required.

Men and women of all ages and children 7 and older are needed. Specialty extras are also being sought: Latin dancers, soccer players and students of the Brazilian martial art capoeira.

The cars and mopeds should be from the 1990s or older, Doyle said.

Filming will run from about the end of May through August, Doyle said.

The casting call will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Olelo Mapunapuna Media Center, 1122 Mapunapuna St. Doyle said potential extras don’t need to bring a photo but anyone interested in offering their car or moped for the movie should bring a photo of the vehicle in order to be considered. Free parking is available.
