Andrew Patyjewicz

Tips from the public led to the arrest of a man wanted for distribution of child pornography, the state Attorney General’s Office said today.

Police arrested Andrew Patyjewicz at Ala Moana Beach Park, less than 24 hours after the AG issued a public plea for information on his whereabouts.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Patyjewicz on Feb. 25 on two counts of second-degree promoting child abuse — a Class B felony, court records show. Each count is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. A bench warrant was issued and bail was set at $11,000, but Patyjewicz was never taken into custody until today.

Patyjewicz is accused of possessing and disseminating images and videos of children being sexually exploited. He had 57 videos containing children being sexually abused, and 12 of the videos showed children under the age of 12, the release said.

In a news release, Attorney General Doug Chin said, “Shortly after asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending Patyjewicz the calls started pouring in to our department. I want to thank the public for their assistance, which was critical in making this arrest.”

Eh.. you can run but you can’t hide.
You won’t blend in to the general “local” populous.

There ain’t enough years in this pervert’s lifetime to lock him up for what he really deserves. The exploitation of innocent children is just about the worst crime one can commit, in my opinion. He’s in for more wrong way sex than he bargained for, and that’s just fine by me.

I can’t help but think of the Rail Crooks who’ve screwed each and every citizen with higher taxes. Shouldn’t they be put in jail even more so than this guy?

Almost June. Could have yielded same results months ago.
