Ewa Beach teen dies after hike in Pearl City
An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday by the medical examiner to determine the cause of death of an 18-year-old man who collapsed Sunday night after hiking in the Pearl City area.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Michael Almerol of Ewa Beach.
Police said witnesses called 911 after the victim collapsed at 7:40 p.m. He was taken to the hospital where he died.
