Did he fall? Did something fall on him? Was he assaulted? Inquiring minds want to know.

  2. SHOPOHOLIC says:

Hope it was worth it. All that attitude, testosterone, chest thumping.

  3. allie says:

It does sound like a classic second-degree murder. The assaulter will claim he was defending himself and an accident happened. He will likely walk unless there are eye witnesses.

Boy and people talk stink about Waianae.

Actually not in Hawaii. 2nd degree murder is what you’re thinking of as 1st degree. First Degree Murder in Hawaii involves aggravating circumstances such as multiple victims, murder-for-hire, murder of a peace officer, etc.

I have no first hand knowledge of this incident but I’ve seen others where two guys are fighting, one falls backwards striking head to pavement. Suspect might be arrested for murder 2, case is investigated as a murder 2 but eventually goes to court as a Manslaughter because it’s tricky to prove intent to kill in those cases.

Once again. I don’t have an information on this particular case. Comments are general only.

Again, once a suspect is booked, his name becomes public knowledge and can be listed. So where’s the suspect’s name? Anyone can view the booking sheet.

  5. snicks833 says:

They should have let him jump.

  6. ALLU says:

You’ve gotta love the headline: zero mention that Honolulu police risked their lives pulling a suspected murderer off of a dangerous freeway overpass, arresting him and bringing an end to the case. The Officers could easily have gone over the overpass along with the suspect and been seriously hurt or worse.

  7. mxp2000 says:

I give HPD top marks on this one. After listening to this idiot for 2 hours they saved his life. In the process risking the lives of multiple officers.

Send this guy to the zoo that shot it’s gorilla.

    Jump…Jump…Jump…

  9. dragoninwater says:

Well, we don’t know any details. Far all we know is the guy who died might have possibly been the assailant and this guy might have been defending himself. Not enough info here to determine if he’s even guilty other than running from the cops. For all we know is this could be just a drug deal gone bad between two criminals.

  10. jyl says:

he should’ve jumped. Save HI taxpayers for the cost of a trial…

Just another day for some stuck in traffic over the holiday weekend.
