    Manoa Falls cascaded with water on July 10, 2015. An autopsy will be held to determine the cause of death of a 19-year-old woman who died Friday from injuries she sustained two days earlier at Manoa Falls.

An autopsy will be held to determine the cause of death of a 19-year-old woman who died Friday from injuries she sustained two days earlier at Manoa Falls.

The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Kristi Takanishi.

A group of hikers reported hearing a thud and found a female unconscious at the base of the Manoa Falls Wednesday night. They brought her out of the water.

Firefighters hiked up the trail and airlifted her to Manoa District Park where she was taken by ambulance in critical condition to the hospital.
