Man reported in critical condition after free diving off Makua Caves
A 57-year-old man was reported in critical condition today after free diving in the ocean off Makua Caves, according to city Emergency Medical Services.
EMS said the man was free diving roughly 30 yards offshore with a friend about 11:10 a.m. when he got into trouble. The friend brought him to shore.
Lifeguards provided CPR until EMS arrived and took over treatment and transported him to a hospital in critical condition.
