Man charged in car jacking incident near Punchbowl
A 22-year-old man was charged Sunday with a car jacking in the Punchbowl area.
Max Delos Santos, who has no local address, was charged about 11:45 a.m. with second-degree robbery and second-degree escape. His bail was set at $25,000.
Police said Delos Santos used force to take the victim’s vehicle about 12:35 a.m. Saturday and crashed the vehicle nearby within minutes. He was identified and arrested at the scene of the crash near Lusitana Street and Judd Lane.
Later that morning, Delos Santos fled from officers as he was being released from a hospital where he had been taken for minor injuries, police said. Officers quickly detained Delos Santos and added an escape charge.

Unable to make bail, the Banana head sits in jail.
Dang, 22 yrs old. Hope this guy can get the help he needs
Another one escaping from police at hospital. Don’t they shackle these guys when they’re around citizens?
In third-seven years, I’ve never been able to figure out where these guys think they’re going to go. Pssst, it’s an island and not a very large one at that.
He didn’t want to pay his hospital bill!
Hope he gets 5 years ON THE MAINLAND.
HOMELESS.
He needs compassion, not jail, right ACLU?
If this becomes and ACLU issue…perhaps someone who is adamant about this individual’s rights and well being will be willing to “sponsor” and be responsible for his behavior…just saying 🙂
He needs to catch some cracks to wise him up……
