Caldwell, city, HART officials to meet with feds over rail project
Mayor Kirk Caldwell will lead a delegation of city and HART officials who will meet with Federal Transit Administration officials in San Francisco Tuesday to discuss a recovery plan for the Honolulu rail project.
Other members of the delegation will be Honolulu City Council Chair Ernest Y. Martin and Councilmember Joey Manahan, Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation Board of Directors Chair Colleen Hanabusa and member Damien Kim, and HART Acting Executive Director Michael Formby. They will meet with Federal Transit Administration officials from Washington, D.C. and Region 9, San Francisco.
The fixed guideway rail project is now $1.3 billion short of anticipated tax revenues.
Dan Grabauskas, the embattled HART executive director, resigned last week.
HART’s board is now looking for a new chief executive to finish the 20-mile, 21-station project.

Recovery Plan??? The only “Recovery Plan” that the feds want to hear about is Kirk getting FIRED. Interestingly enough, most of the members of that delegation–aside from Kirk, of course–are hoping Kirk gets fired, also. Must make for interesting small talk on the ride over.
Ernie and Damien should just settle this local style: Drag Kirk behind the building, pull up his Sig Zane shirt over his bolo-head and give that lying piece of **** dirty lickings until he promises to resign. Geez…that’s taking me back to intermediate school days. Good memories.

The only feds that I want Kirk and the others to visit is the panel that will grill them of possible racketeering charges.
What racketeering? Getting voted into office by a majority of the electorate. Just like the Tea Party, making up all kinds of corruption accusations toward the Democrats. Heard of the birthers dreamed up by Trump. Smear, smear, and smear.
I bet they all fly First Class at taxpayers’ expense, of course.
