High school football, volleyball games rescheduled due to storms
One OIA football game scheduled for Saturday has been moved due to the threat of Hurricane Lester, and two others are in danger of being pushed back to Monday.
OIA football coordinator Harold Tanaka said the league will not make a determination on whether to move games until late Friday morning.
An OIA Blue game between No. 1 Kahuku and Campbell has been moved to Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Carlton Weimer Field.
The Red Raiders (3-0, 3-0) have won 16 consecutive games and are ranked No. 18 in the country by USA Today, but have lost three of the last seven meetings against the Sabers (2-2, 2-1).
A doubleheader at Aloha Stadium featuring Waipahu against Roosevelt and No. 7 Farrington playing Leilehua might be moved to Monday at the stadium.
If they play Monday, the Marauders (2-0, 1-0 OIA D-II) and Rough Riders (1-3, 1-2) will kick off at approximately 3:30 p.m. followed by the Governors (2-1, 2-1 OIA Red) against the Mules (1-3, 1-2).

The other three games scheduled for Oahu on Saturday remain the same. Kaimuki (2-1) plays Faith Lutheran (Nev.) at 2 p.m. at Roosevelt. No. 4 Mililani (3-0, 3-0 OIA Red) hosts Kapolei (3-1, 2-1) and Kalani (1-2, 1-2 OIA D-II) plays McKinley (0-3, 0-2) at Kaiser Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
Volleyball and tennis
>> All girls volleyball matches in both the OIA and ILH as well as ILH junior varsity girls tennis matches scheduled for Wednesday have been canceled.
Makeup dates will be announced. Moanalua’s White, junior varsity and varsity matches against Roosevelt have been moved to Saturday, Sept. 10, beginning at 4 p.m.
Big Island
>> The BIIF has canceled all sporting events for the rest of the week through the weekend.

Ummmm… I think the Saturday OIA football doubleheader at Aloha Stadium is still scheduled for that day. Unless Hurricane Lester update on Friday appears bad. May want to check up on that StarAdvertiser. Not a done deal yet.
