A 59-year-old Waipahu man was taken to the hospital in critical condition Sunday night following a crash on the H-1 freeway near the Kunia Road offramp.

Police said the incident occurred at 9 p.m.

The man was driving east when he hit a car driven by a 50-year-old Mililani man. Both cars hit the concrete median.

Two passengers in the car driven by the Waipahu man were taken to the hospital in serious condition, but later released.

The Mililani man and his four passengers were taken to the hospital in serious condition, treated and released.
