Hawaii’s Addie Steiner and Fullerton’s Tala Haddad fought for the ball during the first half.

Cal State Fullerton scored twice in the first 16 minutes and rolled to a 3-0 win over Hawaii today, spoiling the Rainbow Wahine’s senior day at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

UH (9-4-2, 2-3-1 Big West) lost at home for the first time all season and saw its chances of qualifying for its first Big West tournament take a big hit. The Wahine dropped into a three-way tie for fifth. They will try to move into the top four on the road next week at UC Irvine and Cal State Northridge, the top two teams in the conference standings.

Kaycee Hoover, Sarah Fajnor and Atlanta Primus had the goals for the Titans (7-9, 4-2), the three-time defending Big West tournament champions.

UH honored eight seniors after the loss: Storm Kenui, T.J. Reyno, Elise Wassner, Monk Berger, Lauren Takai, Ryan Daniel, Madison Reed and Addie Steiner.

I am not sure why this is a “breaking news” story because the Wahine soccer team ALWAYS sucks. Well, they are tied for 5th this year, that’s better I guess. No participation trophies HSA, they gotta win to get the press. Go girls, win already!!

Manoa111, Remember, they are student just trying their best to win. Shame on you with such negative remarks.
