Waimanalo man arrested on suspicion of abuse

Police arrested a 42-year-old Waimanalo man after he allegedly choked a woman and struck her with his head at a home in Waimanalo.

At approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday, police said the suspect and the victim, 42, were arguing at a Poalima Street home when the suspect choked her for about 10 to 15 seconds and “head-butted” her.

A neighbor took the victim to the hospital for her injuries.

Police arrested the 42-year-old man at his home on suspicion of abuse of a family member.
