Police arrest Aiea woman in assault case

Police arrested early Thursday a 40-year-old Aiea woman who allegedly assaulted a 21-year-old woman using an unnamed “dangerous instrument” in Aiea.

Police said that the older woman struck the younger woman at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, then allegedly threatened her with the dangerous instrument.

The 40-year-old was arrested at 1:33 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of second-degree assault, first-degree terroristic threatening and carrying a dangerous weapon.
