Toddler fatally struck by vehicle operated by mother
A 17-month-old girl died Friday after she was struck by a vehicle operated by her mother.
According to police, the mother was reversing the vehicle when the child apparently stepped into the driveway.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at a Kailua residence.
The girl was transported to an area hospital where she later died.
