2 women injured, 1 seriously, in pedestrian accident in Punchbowl

Emergency Medical Services transported a 72-year-old woman to a hospital in serious condition after she was struck by a vehicle fronting Roosevelt High School.

Shortly after 7:20 a.m. on Nehoa Street today, a vehicle traveling at a low rate of speed struck the pedestrian who was in a crosswalk, according to EMD. The woman fell onto another pedestrian, a 75-year-old woman, upon impact.

The driver stopped to render aid to the pedestrians. Paramedics transported the 72-year-old woman to a hospital in serious condition.

EMS also transported the 75-year-old woman to a hospital in stable condition.
