Hawaii coach Mike Trapasso is ejected in the second inning.

UC Irvine took advantage of Hawaii errors and ejections for a 5-4 baseball victory tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.

The Anteaters scored three runs in a four-run second, added a run in the fourth and then held off a late UH surge to win two games in this three-game Big West Series.

UH coach Mike Trapasso and third baseman Josh Rojas were ejected in the second inning, and first baseman Eric Ramirez was tossed while warming up at the start of the fifth. Rojas and Ramirez face additional missed time depending on a final evaluation of their ejections.

The ’Bows dropped to 26-19 overall and 8-10 in the Big West. They play a three-game road series against Long Beach State starting on Friday.
