Police arrested a 44-year-old man who allegedly threatened a 36-year-old woman and a man, also 44, sitting in a parked vehicle in the industrial area of Mapunapuna, and assaulted the man.

Police said the suspect threatened the pair with a dangerous instrument today and shattered one of the vehicle’s windows.

The man in the vehicle then got a dangerous instrument and confronted the suspect. The two struggled, and both received injuries, police said.

Police were called to the 6:40 a.m. incident, but the suspect fled before officers arrived.

Police found the suspect, and he was arrested at 9:50 a.m. on first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree criminal property damage, first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree assault, and abuse of a family or household member.
