The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died Tuesday after an accident involving a vehicle in Waipahu as Michael Roe of Ewa Beach.

The 31-year-old died of blunt force injuries of the torso due to the accident, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Police said Roe was traveling north on Leokane Street when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle heading east on Leonui Street.

He was taken in critical condition by ambulance to a hospital, and later died.

Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the 10 a.m. Tuesday accident.
