Kalihi man arrested after girlfriend choked unconscious
Police arrested a 32-year-old man after he allegedly choked his 30-year-old girlfriend in Kalihi.
At about 8:15 p.m. Monday, police said the victim was asleep on her couch and woke up to the suspect choking her, causing her to lose consciousness.
Police arrested the suspect in Nuuanu Tuesday morning on suspicion of abuse of a family or household member.
