Crews complete repairs to Kakaako water main
Crews of the Honolulu Board of Water Supply have completed repairs to a 12-inch water main in Kakaako.
Repairs to the ruptured main on Queen Street between Cooke and Coral streets were completed sometime overnight.
The Board of Water Supply received a report of the broken main at about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, prompting the closure of all lanes on Queen Street between Cooke and Coral streets.
Spokeswoman Kathleen Pahinui said crews are working to fill and repave the affected area.
The section of Queen Street is tentatively slated to reopen to motorists by noon today.
