Man, 34, in critical condition after nearly drowning at Ala Moana Beach Park
A 34-year-old man was in critical condition after nearly drowning Wednesday afternoon at Ala Moana Beach Park, city officials said.
Ocean Safety personnel were first to respond, and began treating the man until paramedics arrived, said Shayne Enright, spokeswoman for the city Emergency Services Department. Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the near-drowning call at 2:33 p.m.
The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, EMS officials said.
