Man arrested for robbing cab driver in Kalihi
Police arrested today a 24-year-old man indicted Aug. 2 on a first-degree robbery charge for his role in the July 28 robbery of a cab driver in Kalihi.
Levi Fau Jr. was arrested near the airport for allegedly punching the driver. His bail was set for $75,000.
An Oahu grand jury indicted on Aug. 2 Fau and Samson Isaako with first-degree robbery.
The state alleges a female passenger initiated the robbery by shifting the taxi’s transmission into park. She then allegedly pinned the driver to his seat and demanded money.
Isaako approached from another vehicle and put a knife to the driver’s neck, demanding money.
Fau came from the same vehicle and punched the driver.

The female passenger got out and the taxi driver accelerated to escape. Isaako went after the taxi driver and crashed into the cab.
