Man sought in Pearl City kidnapping

A 38-year-old man is facing arrest after police said he threatened and restrained a woman during an incident that lasted more than 12 hours before fleeing in her car Saturday in Pearl City.

The man threatened the 47-year-old woman with a dangerous instrument and held her against her will between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Police were called after the man left, and officers documented the incident.

No arrests were made, but police opened investigations for kidnapping, first-degree terroristic threatening, and second-degree theft.
