    Hawaii’s Kirsten Sibley put down set point against Baylor’s Katie Staiger in the second set.

Junior hitter McKenna Granato put down 22 kills and senior middle Emily Maglio added a career-high 18 as Hawaii won a five-setter for the first time in four tries this volleyball season, rallying past Baylor 18-25, 25-14, 18-25, 25-17, 16-14 in tonight’s second match of the Outrigger Resorts Challenge at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Rainbow Wahine setter Norene Iosia had a career-high 63 assists and senior libero Savanah Kahakai 14 digs to move to No. 9 on the all-time digs list. Sophomore hitter Kirsten Sibley added 10 kills for UH.

Hawaii (3-5) takes on Nevada (3-4) at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Baylor (5-3) faces No. 10 Brigham Young (7-0) at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Earlier today, junior hitter Roni Jones-Perry continued to make a strong bid for tournament MVP honors with 14 kills in the Cougars’ 25-18, 25-22, 25-18 sweep of the Wolf Pack.

Freshman hitter Yossiana Pressley had 18 kills and senior hitter Katie Staiger 16 for the Bears.
