Service has been restored to all school bus routes on Maui, but more drivers are needed to increase frequency to normal levels.

The last two routes that had been suspended, serving Baldwin High School and Iao Intermediate, are back in action, the Department of Education announced today.

Applicants with commercial driver’s licenses should contact the Student Transportation Services branch at 586-0170 as soon as possible. Drivers without such a license can undertake training and testing, which takes about three weeks to complete.

Information about school bus registration, routes and service is available at the Get On Board Hotline at 586-0161.
