Water main break closes westbound lanes of Dillingham Boulevard
Board of Water Supply crews are working to repair a 12-inch water main break at a busy intersection in Kalihi this morning.
Although eastbound lanes have been reopened, all but one westbound lane on Dillingham Blvd. is closed at the intersection with Waiakamilo Road where the break is located. Motorists are also blocked from turning mauka onto Waiakamilo Road from Dillingham Blvd.
Repairs are expected to continue throughout the day, according to a spokesman for the utility.
Four customers are without water service and a water wagon has been stationed at the Taco Bell on Waiakamilo Blvd. Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.
