Power restored after downed power lines cause outage in Kaimuki
The Hawaiian Electric Company has restored power to the Kaimuki area after an outage this morning.
The outage was first reported at about 7:40 a.m. and affected some 1,210 customers. Repair crews were able to restore power to about 1,020 customers in 10 minutes and continued working to restor power to the remaining customers. HECO said power was fully restored about 10:30 a.m.
The power outage was due to downed power lines on St. Louis Drive, said HECO spokeswoman Shannon Tangonan, and not related to the downed utility pole reported on 13th Avenue between Waialae and Mahina avenues.
