Pedestrian killed in Wahiawa identified

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the pedestrian killed Friday morning in Wahiawa as Millard Clifton Jr., 57, of Wahiawa.

Clifton was struck by a large pickup truck in front of the 7-Eleven store on California Avenue. He was taken to Pali Momi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:38 a.m.

His death was determined to be an accident, and he died of head injuries, the Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday.

Correction: >> Millard Clifton Jr. was killed in a pedestrian accident in Wahiawa Friday morning. A previous version of this story reported that Clifton was the man killed Saturday after being struck by a police vehicle while running across H-1 freeway in Pearl City. The victim in that case has still not been publicly identified.
