Police are looking for a 20-year-old man wanted in an alleged kidnapping case in Kapolei that occurred Sunday.

Police said the man met his ex-girlfriend at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Kapolei Commons parking lot to retrieve her belongings.

The woman, who is in her 20s, went into his vehicle and, after obtaining her belongings, tried to leave.

The suspect then allegedly grabbed her by her clothes, pulled her into the vehicle and drove off.

He put a knife against her body and threatened to kill her, police said.

The man was unable to get far, and the woman managed to escape. She reported the incident to an officer, who was in the area.

The man is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
