Crews put out building fire in Waikiki

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a building fire located at 330 Royal Hawaiian Ave. at 11:23 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, crews found flames coming from a vent located on the roof of the Duty Free Shop.

The fire was contained to a roof top diesel generator room and was extinguished by 12:07 a.m. Sunday.

There were no injuries related to this incident, a fire captain said in an email.

The fire cause and damage estimates are currently under investigation.
