No. 2 UH overpowers No. 13 Concordia in volleyball

Sophomore opposite Rado Parapunov and sophomore hitter Austin Matautia each put down 12 kills to lead a balanced attack and No. 2 Hawaii swept No. 13 Concordia, 25-20, 25-15, 25-16 in a nonconference volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Junior hitter Stijn van Tilburg added 10 and middles Patrick Gasman and Dalton Solbrig combined for 11 kills with no errors for the Rainbow Warriors (11-2).

Senior Taylor Falduti had nine kills for the Eagles (8-8).

Matautia had all three of Hawaii’s aces. Gasman was in on three of the Warriors’ five blocks.
