Visitor rescued from waters off North Shore
Ocean Safety and fire rescue personnel responded this morning to a 35-year-old Canadian visitor who got in trouble in waters off Three Tables on the North Shore.
The man was in the water near Three Tables when a rip current pulled him out about 200 yards offshore, and he was unable to come back in, Emergency Services Department spokeswoman Shayne Enright said in an email.
Two lifeguards paddled out and stabilized the man until other lifeguards on a rescue watercraft were able to bring him to shore.
The man did not require medical attention.
