Brown water advisories issued for Maui, Oahu
The state Department of Health issued a brown water advisory today for the entire island of Maui after stormwater runoff entered coastal waters around the island.
“Not all coastal areas may be impacted by runoff, however, if the water is brown stay out,” the Health Department said.
Brown water advisories were also issued today for Oahu along Haleiwa Beach Park, Kaluanui Beach, and Punaluu Beach Park due to recent rains.
On Kauai, brown water advisories were in effect for Lumahai Beach, Lydgate Park and Hanalei Bay. Those advisories were issued Wednesday.
