Henderson leads LPGA’s Lotte at Ko Olina by 1 stroke

    Mo Martin watched the flight of her tee shot down the 12th fairway in the third round of the LPGA Lotte Championship.

Brooke Henderson shot 1-over 73 today to cling to a one-shot lead heading into Saturday’s final round of the LPGA’s Lotte Championship at Ko Olina Golf Club.

Henderson’s third round today included five birdies and two bogeys. At one point on the front nine she held a five-stroke lead, but she needed four putts to double-bogey the par-3 16th hole, bringing her back to par for the round. She also closed out with a bogey on No. 18.

Henderson struggled on the back nine greens, needing 20 putts and finishing at 9 under for the tournament.

American Mo Martin finished today one shot behind Henderson. Her 72 included an eagle on the 13th hole.

Nasa Hataoka and Inbee Park were tied for third, 7 under for the tournament. Hataoka shot 4-under 68 and Park was 1 under at 71 for the day.

Michelle Wie shot 3-under 69, moving up to a tie for 18th.
