Suspect arrested after allegedly robbing taxi driver in Kapolei

Police have arrested a 41-year-old man after he allegedly robbed a taxi driver at Campbell Industrial Park in Kapolei.

The 55-year-old taxi driver reported the suspect wielded a “dangerous instrument” at him while he was driving and robbed him between 9:15 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. Thursday, according to police. They did not specify what the suspect used to allegedly threaten the driver.

About a half-hour later, police located the suspect on Olai Street within the industrial park and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
