Wildland fire burns 10 acres in Ewa Beach

Honolulu firefighters battled a 10-acre brush fire in Ewa Beach on Saturday.

The blaze was reported at 12:26 p.m. behind Asing Community Park off of Renton Road. The Honolulu Fire Department dispatched 15 units staffed by 43 personnel to fight the fire. Firefighters also requested help from six Federal Fire Department units.

The fire was contained by 8:50 p.m.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
