Fire crews put out building fire in McCully

Eleven Honolulu Fire Department units contained a building fire early this morning in McCully.

The two-story building at 1565 South King Street was not in operation and unoccupied when fire crews arrived at 2:29 a.m The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 2:57 a.m.

Signs of squatters were later found in one of the business units at the property but that was not a factor in the fire.

This fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported.
