Hawaii Swish basketball team looks to remain unbeaten
The Hawaii Swish semi-professional basketball team seeks to remain unbeaten when it faces the Seattle Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. today at Moanalua High School.
The Swish are 2-0 in the 2018-19 ABA season, while the Mountaineers are 3-2.
“They’re not ranked, but they’re a really solid team,” Swish owner/guard Geremy Robinson said. “A lot of ex-college guys and they’ve got some height. One of our most competitive games we’ve had in a while. We’re hoping for the fan support of people coming out.”
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $25 for courtside seats. Military members get $5 off, while children under 4 years old get in free.
Errico wins 2018 women’s longboard
Soleil Errico, a 17-year-old Malibu resident, took the title for the 2018 World Surf League Longboard Championship at the Taiwan Open of Surfing on Friday.

Errico took down fellow Californian Rachael Tilly in the final heat with a score of 15.96 to 14.17.
Errico tied Tilly as the youngest WSL world champion, Tilly was 17 years old when she took the 2015 World Longboard Championship.
Tilly took out reigning world champion Honolua Blomfield of Haleiwa in the semifinals with a score of 14.94 to 14.17.
