Police arrest suspect after Ala Moana Center robbery


Honolulu police arrested a 25-year-old man after he allegedly robbed the Foodland Farms outlet at Ala Moana Center.

Police said the culprit shoplifted merchandise from the store at 5 p.m. Monday.

The suspect allegedly used force against a 35-year-old employee who confronted the suspect as he attempted to flee with the items.

Police said the suspect also had an unspecified weapon in his possession.

Police were called and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery and carrying a dangerous weapon.
