Police release sex assault suspect in Kalihi case
Police arrested a 36-year-old man today for allegedly sexually assaulting a 38-year-old woman at her Kalihi home.
The woman reported the man entered her rental room and sexually assaulted her at 5 a.m. today.
Police arrested the man at 2:09 p.m. on suspicion of first-degree burglary and fourth-degree sexual assault, and for a criminal contempt charge.
The man posted $500 bail on the criminal contempt charge, and he was released pending investigation on the burglary and sexual assault offenses.
