State officials continue to test new sirens around the isles.

On Oahu, siren testing will be conducted at Pearl City District Park, Waimalu Neighborhood Park, Halawa District Park and Salt Lake District Park between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. today.

Residents may hear the siren for 30-second to 3-minute intervals and short blasts known as “burps.”

Concerns about the sirens or reports of siren malfunctions can be directed to the Honolulu Department of Emergency Management at 723-8960.
