Police arrested a homeless man after he allegedly threatened a security guard with a knife in Waikiki early today.

Police said the suspect, of no local address, was sleeping in an area on Royal Hawaiian Avenue at about 1:35 a.m. when the guard woke him up.

The suspect allegedly brandished a three-inch pocket knife and threatened to kill the guard.

Police responded and arrested the suspect on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
