Firefighters contain brush fire at Keehi Lagoon Beach Park

Firefighters quickly contained a brush fire tonight at Keehi Lagoon Beach Park.

Fire Capt. Kevin Mokulehua said five units with 18 personnel were sent to the blaze after the first alarm at 8:42 p.m.

The first unit arrived at 8:57 p.m. to the 465 Lagoon Drive. The brush fire was located close to the water.

Firefighters had the blaze contained by about 9:10 p.m.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened, Mokulehua said.
